Rebranding and elevating a historic venue into a refined, multi-purpose event destination
Project description
The Ballroom at The Commercial Club is a landmark event space in downtown Salt Lake City. While the venue had already built a strong reputation locally, its existing brand identity and website no longer reflected the elegance, and heritage of the space. As the venue prepared to grow its event business and attract a broader audience, a more refined and cohesive brand presence was needed.
The existing digital experience lacked clarity and consistency and leaned heavily toward weddings, limiting the perception of the space’s versatility. The goal was to elevate the brand and create a refined identity and website that would better communicate the venue’s heritage, sophistication, and ability to host a wide range of events.
Awards

The typography pairs the elegant serif PP Pangaia with the clean sans-serif Suisse International. This combination balances heritage and modernity, reflecting the venue’s historic character while maintaining a contemporary editorial feel.






Performance Improvements
The new website significantly improved performance and technical optimization, resulting in faster load times and stronger Lighthouse scores across both desktop and mobile.
